I found Allen's naturally after doing a ton of research on laundry detergents that were safe for cloth diapers. We used Green Mountain pre-folds with Thirsty covers and also the Bum Genius 4.0. After 2 babies our covers/wet bag are still waterproof and in great shape. We have never had a problem with odor from our diapers either. I also like to wash my children's clothes with Allen's Naturally- I like knowing that there are no harsh chemical, scents, or whiteners to irritate their delicate skin. Since you have to use so little detergent it last a long time- we buy product every 4 to 6 months and that's with 2 in diapers doing laundry every other day to every 2 days and we don't have a HE machine.

My name is Jessica. I have been using your laundry detergent for about 2 years now. It is fantastic. I started using it for my daughters cloth diapers (with my HE washer, 1/4oz or less of detergent) but quickly started using it for all of our laundry. I love that it is biodegradable without any chemicals and it cleans better than any detergent using only a fraction of the amount when compared to other detergents. I recently started using stink out, which I use every couple loads for the cloth diapers! Great product with a fresh, natural scent!
Thanks for making such a great product. You've got a lifelong customer!

I started using Allens Naturally laundry detergent because of cloth diapering over 4 years ago. It had gotten good reviews and I thought I would give it a try. Soon after that, I began washing all my laundry with it and haven't stopped since. It was gentle yet effective on my cloth diapers, and my kids with sensitive skin have no issues after laundry day. It is also cost effective and a little bit goes a long way!

I initially began using "natural powder laundry detergent" for our cloth diapers because the old detergent was creating a "buildup" on the diapers which resulted in the diapers repelling water instead of absorbing it! This is why I started researching how this was happening (our diapers were nearly brand new) and how to strip the diapers and switch to natural laundry products to avoid this in the future. I did that and because I didn't want to take a chance on buildup in the machine from other loads getting onto the diapers, I just decided to use it for all our laundry needs, not just the diapers. Its been over 8 years, we no longer use diapers but I still am using the Allens Naturally detergent powder for all our laundry. I like only having to use 2 bags a year and I do a lot of laundry so it lasts a long time.

I have been using Allen's Naturally powdered laundry detergent ever since starting cloth diapering in 2012. Your product appeared on a short list of detergents recommended by the cloth diaper manufacturer. And, since it was the most economical on the list, it's the one I tried first. I was astonished at how well it cleaned the dirty diapers and began using it for all our laundry. I soon realized my itchy skin problem had vanished. I thought that by using laundry detergents (like Seventh Generation) that were "free and clear" or even USDA organic, I would be avoiding any irritants; and I had no idea that even those other products were causing me irritation. When our children graduated out of diapers, I tried another economical option; Whole Foods' 365 organic liquid laundry detergent. In no time, my itchy skin was back! After a few weeks I returned to using strictly Allen's Naturally. It is the only product that cleans the laundry really well, leaves our clothes smelling fresh, is most economical, and doesn't irritate my skin. Thank you for making this product!

I have sensitive skin and have used Allen's Naturally Powder for years. When I decided to cloth diaper, I was so excited to see Allen's Naturally was a recommended cloth detergent. However I have found I have to use more like 1/2 oz as opposed to 1/4 oz when washing my diapers in order to avoid odors. I also do a rinse first and then add detergent. I have not had any problems since increasing by 1/4 oz. Thank you Allen's for a great concentrated product.

I've been cloth diapering for about 5 years now between my two children and this is hands down the best detergent for cloth diapers. I've used many brands but now I only use one. Thanks Allens Naturally!!

I've been using this for 4 years to clean everything, not just diapers. The only wash aid I've ever added was an oxygenator. This stuff takes out everything, and clothes are clean, smell like clothes instead of yuk, and even my running clothes never get that stinky smell. Yay! Good stuff.
Using the recommended amount in my new HE washer, this is very economical, too!

I suffer from Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS) and this laundry detergent is the ONE I always use. Either version, powder or liquid, is fine. I have an HE machine and it takes so little of this product to get the job done, and I have never reacted to it EVER - even when I literally reacted to EVERYTHING! I would NEVER be without it! And it does a fantastic job cleaning the laundry too.
If you suffer from MCS, I highly recommend that you purchase this product. It is actually extremely cost effective also. You will not regret it. I used this product around many others when down a the Environmental Health Center in Dallas TX, and no one else there reacted to it either when in the laundry area or around me or my clothes. I tried many other detergents before finding this one, and for me, this one was the ONLY one that I did not react to.
The customer service is also awesome and they will work with you and answer any and all questions you may have. You cannot go wrong here. Safety and good product.

Allen’s Naturally is doing a fantastic job of cleaning my baby’s diapers. I started cloth diapering my newborn as soon as he came home from the hospital. I started out washing with generic laundry detergent but was not pleased with the stain removal. I switched to Allen’s Naturally and I am very impressed with its stain busting capabilities! I’m using cloth diapers because they are good for my baby and good for the earth. I love it that I am doing even more for the environment by using Allen’s Naturally
